Biomass Dryer

*This Page is Under Construction*

A large number of biomass residues are produced in agriculture, livestock farming, landscape maintenance as well as industrial food production. For example, biomass residues result from grape marc during the production of wine and apple marc during the production of juice. It is also produced during the production of alcohol, coffee, bakery residues and many more. These products are normally wet and must be disposed of which can be complex and expensive. It is increasingly less acceptable to dispose of these materials in the field since they can be high in dangerous bacteria. Uncontrolled disposal is associated with an over fertilization of the grounds and leakage into our ground water.

Our STR biomass drying procedure is not only an interesting economic solution but turns a disposal product into a recycled product which can be re-integrated in different ways into an environmentally-friendly and responsible cycle. Freshly pressed-out fruit marc quickly transfers to an intense smelling fermentation process within a short period of time. If the juice production is followed by the biomass drying procedure, the wet marc is dried and turned into high-quality animal food. Alternatively, the dried material, which is fully hygienized during the drying procedure, can be used as bedding material, as fertilizer according to the fertilizer law or it can be used for energetic recovery.

Our cyclone combustion chamber and biomass burner can use all types of biomass fuels for added heat in the dryer. This does not only ensure a highly efficient drying procedure but guarantees it at the lowest operational costs.
